S-Classic III

Modern ST comfort with poplar balance, HSS versatility, and road‑ready details.

Poplar Body Wood

The ST body shape, which has curved and contoured areas that fit closely to the body, including the armrest, is highly regarded by many musicians for its unique comfort when playing the electric guitar. Poplar wood is widely used as an electric guitar body material due to its similarity in sound characteristics to the traditionally used Alder wood, while also having the advantage of being lightweight among hardwoods.

By adding basswood veneers to the top and back and increasing the hardness of the bolt fastening area, it enhances the mid-low range of sound.

Body Wood and Sound

It delivers a flat sound from the low to high range, with a moderate dynamic range that does not lean too much in one direction, making it suitable for playing various genres of music. It has a glossy finish and is matched with a three-ply white or black pickguard to enhance its aesthetic appeal.

Maple Neck

The well-dried maple neck is very sturdy, enhancing the reliability of the performance.

For those with relatively small hands, a comfortable slim C-shaped neck profile is applied.

Due to its matte finish, you can feel a smoother playing experience when changing left-hand position or sliding.

Overall, these features provide an excellent playing experience for musicians of various skill levels and hand sizes.

Stainless Steel 304CU Frets

The fretboard features 22 medium jumbo stainless steel 304CU frets, set securely in a 9.5-inch (241mm) radius.

This alloy contains 3% copper, 8% nickel, and 18% chromium, making it highly resistant to wear, corrosion, and excellent in workability.

In particular, the smooth finish of the frets provides a comfortable playing experience for techniques like bending and vibrato, maximizing the player’s expressiveness.

Semi Rounded Neck Joint

The high-strength bolt-on neck joint, which supports 4 points, is proven to provide long sustain, similar to a set neck joint that connects the neck and body by gluing them together through various experiments.

Moreover, the bolt-on neck can be separated from the body, providing significant advantages in repair and maintenance.

In particular, the use of a semi-round neck joint plate and the processing of the edges into a smooth curve make it easier to play with the left hand in the high position around the 18th to 22nd fret area.

Headstock

The PPS nut, along with the angled logo headplate, increases the sustain of the guitar string and delivers clear resonance due to the characteristics of the material, which is a determinative, high-temperature-resistant thermoplastic.

The truss rod adjustment allows for correcting neck curvature, and the truss rod hole is reinforced with plastic to prevent damage to the wood, using a metal hex wrench.

Fretboard

You can choose between two fretboard options: Maple or Rosewood, both with a 9.5-inch (241mm) radius, depending on the body color.

It has a 25.5-inch (648mm) scale length, with position marks on the front and side.

Electronics

Alnico 5 magnet, widely known for its unique warm tone and high output among the aluminum-nickel-cobalt alloys, is used in this guitar. It has a wide dynamic range, excellent expression in low, mid and high frequencies, and strong picking response, making it suitable for delicate playing as well as powerful picking. The humbucker bridge pickup, which cancels out 60Hz hum noise and boosts output by connecting two single pickups with opposite phase, is used. Additionally, a coil-split function that allows switching between single and humbucker modes is added to produce the characteristic bright sound of a single bridge pickup.

Controls and Pickup Positions

You can switch between the five pickup positions and toggle between single-coil and humbucker modes using the switch. The guitar also features a master volume control, as well as separate tone controls for the neck and middle pickups. The intuitive design allows for easy and quick tone changes even during playing a guitar. With the pickup positions and coil-splitting toggle switch, you can create a wide range of tones to suit your playing style.

6-point Tremolo Bridge

A 6-point synchronized tremolo bridge, commonly used in vintage guitars, is installed.

It allows for precise tuning while keeping guitar setup simple and easy to manage.

In particular, the saddle section is designed with a flat and smooth top for easy maintenance and dust cleaning.
