Description
Gopherwood S modern II Electric Guitar Scarlet
The ST-style body features a contoured armrest and shaped contact areas for outstanding comfort—one reason this silhouette has been loved by so many players.
Alder is the classic choice favored by iconic brands for ST-style electrics; Poplar offers a comparable tonal character: bright, clear, and present. Expect balanced resonance and a punchy, responsive sound that adapts well to a wide range of musical styles.
Body Wood and Sound
Poplar delivers a bright attack with punch and clarity, supported by even, balanced resonance. Its voice is reminiscent of Alder and evokes the sound of iconic ST-style guitars. It excels in jazz and blues and—paired with high-output ceramic pickups—readily covers assertive rock tones as well.
Maple Neck
A well-seasoned maple neck adds rigidity and long-term stability. The slim C-shape profile is comfortable even for smaller hands, and the satin finish keeps left-hand shifts and slides smooth and unobtrusive.
Semi-Rounded Neck Joint
A 4-point bolt-on joint pairs cleanly with the Poplar body to support long sustain. Bolt-on construction simplifies service and setup, while the semi-rounded neck plate and contoured heel make upper-fret access (18th–22nd) noticeably easier.
Headstock
The refined headstock carries Gopherwood’s newly designed decal logo. A PPS nut improves durability, sustain, and clarity. A head-adjust truss rod allows quick, straightforward neck relief adjustments
Fretboard
Choose maple or purpleheart with a 9.5″ (241 mm) radius. Twenty-two medium-jumbo frets are seated securely on a 25.5″ (648 mm) scale. Front and side dot markers provide clear position reference.
Electronics
The GW-2 ceramic set is voiced to complement the Poplar body’s bright, articulate character, offering strong magnetic pull and high output. Together, Poplar’s lively tone and the ceramic set’s punch yield a versatile, expressive palette.
The chrome-covered bridge humbucker uses two single-coil coils wired in parallel to reduce 60 Hz hum while delivering a sound that is both weighty and clear.
Controls & Pickup Positions
A simple, intuitive layout—5-way selector, Master Volume, Master Tone—lets you shape tones instantly on stage. If drive tones from ceramic pickups feel a touch sharp, use the tone knob to round the edge for smoother saturation.
6-point Tremolo Bridge
A vintage-style 6-point synchronized tremolo offers musical vibrato while keeping setup straightforward and maintenance easy. The saddle tops are flat and smoothly finished, making dusting and day-to-day care more convenient.
